NEWMAN-SINCLAIR AUTO KINE MODEL E Optical System: Interchangeable single lens panels; lenses from I inch to 17 inches focal length available, together with appropriate finder lens. Built-in tunnel finder at top of camera shows image right way up and right way round, and has correction for parallax and for focal length of lens. Focussing Device: External sight on left side of camera operates when lens moved from taking to 'focussing' position. Parallax on near subjects avoided by use of supplementary sights which allow precision focussing of image formed on film in gate. Prismatic brilliant sight also available for visual focussing from side of camera, while special prism attachment allows gate focussing from rear of camera through external sight. Shutter: 170"; variable sector shutter available to give 90°, 45°, 20", 10°, and so. Film Transport: Single intermittent claw and register pin. Speeds: 10 to 32 frames per second. Driving Unit: Clockwork motor capable of driving 200ft. of film at one winding of the two springs. Magazines: Self-threading interchangeable magazines with built-in sprocket to give constant loop.
